Privacy & Cookies Policy
This policy explains how TransferBulgaria ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our website or book a transfer or day tour with us, and how we use cookies. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Bulgarian data protection law.
Who we are
TransferBulgaria is the data controller responsible for your personal data. You can reach us at:
- Address: Bulgaria, Sofia, 2 Sveta Gora Str.
- Phone: +359 879 59 86 48
- Email: info@transferbulgaria.com
What information we collect
We only collect what we need to arrange your transfer or tour and to run our website. This includes:
- Booking details you provide: your name, email address, phone number, pickup and drop-off locations, travel dates and times, flight number, passenger and luggage numbers, and any special requests such as a child seat.
- Messages you send us by email, contact form, WhatsApp or Viber.
- Technical data collected automatically when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring pages, and the pages you view. This is stored in server logs and used to keep the site secure and working.
- Cookie data, as described in the Cookies section below.
We do not ask for more sensitive categories of data, and we ask that you don't send them to us unless strictly necessary for your booking.
How and why we use your data
We use your personal data to:
- respond to your enquiries and prepare a quote;
- arrange, confirm and carry out your transfer or tour;
- contact you about your booking, including changes and pickup coordination;
- keep records for accounting and legal obligations;
- maintain the security and performance of our website.
Our legal bases for this processing are: performance of a contract (to arrange and deliver the service you request), our legitimate interests (to respond to enquiries, run and secure our website, and keep records), legal obligation (for example, tax and accounting rules), and, where relevant, your consent (for example, non-essential cookies).
When we share your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where needed to deliver your booking or to run our business, including with:
- the driver assigned to your transfer or tour, so they can meet you and complete the journey;
- service providers who help us operate, such as our website host and, where applicable, a payment provider;
- public authorities where we are legally required to do so.
How long we keep it
We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Booking and accounting records are kept for the period set by Bulgarian tax and accounting rules; enquiry messages that don't lead to a booking are kept for a shorter period and then deleted.
How we protect it
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Please note that no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as completely secure, so you are also welcome to contact us by phone instead.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to our processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP), which supervises data protection in Bulgaria.
